Spring is an extension of Singh’s body of work on ethereal gardens of memory and light. Here, the garden begins to resurrect itself from its skeletal aftermath into whispers of spring and patterns from nature’s fractals, pollen bursts, buds and blossoms, leak out of the boundaries of their forms, proliferating over the membrane-like surfaces of layered, translucent fabric. These layered reflections create spatial paintings, with forms appearing to float in mid-air, creating weightless images of transient natural phenomena where the part expresses a desire for the the whole and the essence awaits its full manifestation into form.
